A historic season for the Columbus Christian Academy soccer team came to an end Tuesday evening against Manchester Academy in Yazoo City.
The Rams made the playoffs for the first time ever, but they fell 2-0 on the road in the opening round. Both Manchester goals came in the final five minutes despite standout performances from CCA defenders Taylor Tipton and Emma Kate Griffin.
“I’m disappointed with the outcome but super proud of my girls and the way they performed,” CCA coach Jason Barlow said.
The Rams were down to 12 players for their final three matches, meaning they only had one substitute available.
