The Mississippi University for Women men’s and women’s cross country teams both finished 21st of 21 schools at the Rhodes Invitational on Saturday in Memphis, Tennessee.
Caroline Greer’s time of 30:27.2, a 117th-place finish in the women’s 6,000 meters, was the highest finish among either Owls squad.
Jonathan Mathis ran the men’s 8,000 in 31:26.2, earning a 127th-place finish, tops among the men’s team.
Tulsa won both races at the event, hosted by Rhodes College.
The W will next compete at the Jacksonville State Foothills Invitational on Oct. 5 in Jacksonville, Alabama. The men’s team will run the 8,000 at 8 a.m., and the women’s team will run the 5,000 at 9 a.m.
