Late Sunday night, former Columbus High School standout and East Mississippi Community College sophomore offensive lineman LaQuinston Sharp committed to Mississippi State.
Sharp is rated as the second-best junior college offensive lineman in the nation in the 247 Sports Composite. He also held offers from Auburn, Florida, and Missouri. MSU has sophomores Stewart Reese and Greg Eiland starting at tackle. EMCC product Tyre Phillips, a junior, also is rotating in.
Sharp is the fourth offensive lineman and the 17th player to commit in MSU’s 2019 class.
