Mississippi University for Women’s Fant Memorial Library and Office of General Counsel welcome Rashanda R. Booker to campus Monday for the Meet the Author Series. In a 4:30 p.m. presentation open to the public, Booker will discuss her new book, “Groundlessness: From Pain to Peace.”
Booker is the CEO and founder of Premier Inspirations. She received her Doctor of Philosophy in educational leadership, research, and counseling with a higher education administration concentration from Louisiana State University. She received both her master and bachelor degrees from Southeastern Louisiana University.
After serving as assistant dean of the college at Williams College, Booker returned south and accepted the inaugural director of Institutional Equity and Partnerships at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. With over 17 years of higher education experience, she has a proven record of being an advocate for equity and inclusion with a student-centered focus.
Monday’s program will open with remarks by Fant Memorial Library Dean of Library Services Amanda C. Powers and an introduction of Booker by Karen G. Clay of University Counsel. Sponsors are Friends of Fant Library and the MUW Office of General Counsel.
