I have to disagree with your recent column concerning gender identity and the recent law passed disallowing gender changed boys to compete as girls in sports. My viewpoint is that the law was enacted to protect minor children from being exposed to this type of action. Adults who wish to have a sex change, it is their right, though I hope any physician would encourage counseling beforehand. Children should be of legal age before being allowed a sex change operation (my strong opinion), and what parent/guardian would actually want to have a minor child’s sex reversed? Teenage years are already full of so many challenges! And please, aren’t biological boys stronger physically than girls, period?
