Response to Hyde-Smith’s comments at a local luncheon
I can’t think of anything at this writing that Trump has changed for the better since being elected. Some could say the judges he appointed, but they could turn out to be like his cabinet appointees.
America, under Trump, is becoming like our state. First in everything that’s bad, and both are being run by Republicans.
Now, America is first in the number of COVID-19 cases, because of poor planning.
America is first in my lifetime to have a pathological liar for president.
America is first for some countries to close their borders to keep Americans from entering because of COVID-19, again because of poor planning.
America is first to have a president who ran six different businesses that declared bankruptcy because they couldn’t pay their bills, and he could be, if re-elected, be staring at number seven, the biggest one of all.
America is first to have a president whose dishonesty is pathetic.
America is first, according to some people, to have a president that poses the greatest threat to our democracy. He has that fuzzy warm feeling toward dictators.
America is first in my lifetime, to place Americans against Americans, instead of uniting us.
I don’t think Hyde-Smith mentioned the abortion deal, but a month or so ago, a flier came in the mail that did.
When Judge Barrett gets approved, maybe Roe v Wade can be overturned, but I doubt it, because the Republicans won’t have anything left on their platform that will get them elected.
It’s hard to believe, after 47 years, they have not presented a petition to the Supreme Court to have it overturned.
We’ve had five judges appointed by Republicans, and four by Democrats just recently, and there should be no reason if a petition was presented to overturn Roe v Wade, they would have done it.
For this reason, I personally blame the Republicans more than Democrats for abortions, because it helps them win elections.
Sen. Hyde-Smith refuses to debate Espy, does not have town hall meetings with her constituents, left the luncheon before it was over without taking any questions.
More than likely, it’s because she knew if she had to defend a pathological liar like Trump, she would have to tell one herself.
She probably said to herself, you “ain’t” going to start me to lying. I’m “outta here.”
