If we arm teachers, shooters will just target teachers first. Obviously, we need to arm the students, too. This will be a wonderful windfall for firearm manufacturers, and for shooting ranges everywhere, as the rush to train 10-year-olds in firearm accuracy and safety explodes. (The training would arise from parental concern, as there can be no requirement for such training before buying a firearm.)
Today, we have an 18-year minimum age for gun possession. That will obviously have to change. But wait! If we arm 10-year-olds, the shooters will go after 9-year-olds. Maybe we need to eliminate age limitations altogether.
