Could the parents of Bill Gates or Steve Jobs have predicted their son would become someone so influential? Or Bill Clinton? Or Barack Obama? Florence Nightingale, Mother Teresa or Angela Merkel?
We don’t know whether any of those 19 kids that died Tuesday would become somebody who could give something to humanity in the future. But there was potential in all those kids.
Worldwide there is an unwritten established rule that kids are always on the priority list whether it is to get into trains, flights or any events. Even in any disastrous situation if a kid is rescued, that becomes a great event.
Celebrity basketball player, Lebron James instantly tweeted, “There simply has to be change.” But what change? Some states and lawmakers are thinking of arming the teachers to control this type of shooting in schools or colleges. Fire with fire? Jesus Christ didn’t like this kind of idea.
How about disarming everyone? It could be against the U.S. constitutional rights. But the current situation is not the same as 250 years back.
Australia is much safer now with regards to gun violence. The same is true in a few other countries.
We must act in one voice.
