Editor’s note: The following letter was mailed to The Dispatch in mid-October. Its delay in being printed is due to it accidentally being buried in a pile of paperwork. Apologies to Mrs. Arnold.
What a wonderful article on your front page on October 11th. It was so inspiring to read about Kevin Styron, business owner, and the journey he made after completing treatment at The Pines for addiction.
I can’t think of any family who isn’t in some way affected by substance abuse, mine included. Whether it is drugs, alcohol, gambling or something else, no family is immune. It is not only a struggle for the one with the addiction but also for their families.
Reading of Kevin’s success and his outreach to help others should give us all hope. Zack, keep writing those articles giving us hope and inspiration in a world of chaos. Isaiah 49:13.
