Gov. Reeves called the Biden mandate “tyranny” and believes the President issued the mandate to try to distract the world from the fallout over his decision to withdraw U.S. troops from Afghanistan.
On May 4, Biden announced that he wanted 70 percent of the people vaccinated by July 4, but because of ignorance and misguided information of some in the Republican party, it became counter productive to reaching his goal.
If Biden had reached his goal of 70 percent, there probably wouldn’t be a mandate. Like any president should do, Biden is trying to protect the people and end the pandemic.
But this proves without any doubt it wasn’t as Reeves believes, that the mandate was to distract the world from his decision to withdraw troops from Afghanistan.
Reeves says our president wants to be talking about anything but Afghanistan.
It seems the Republicans think you should be able to fight a war without casualties, even one for 20 years, but Biden accomplished what no other president, including Trump, was able to do, make sure there are no more American casualties from a no-win war by bringing our troops home.
Reeves goes on to state that “hard working” Mississippians have to choose either injecting themselves with something and potentially having the ability to earn a living to produce food for their family.
Does this mean that expansion of Medicaid and the raising of the minimum wage which has been the same in our state since 2009 is imminent?
Now, we’re #1 again.
Mississippi now has country’s highest rate for COVID deaths, proof that we have less fear about the death from this virus than other states.
