Having lived nearly four score years, I feel that I grew up in the best of times, raised my family in the good times and now living in very troubled times. Being a “Born Again” believer, I am concerned but not without hope. I also am not naive enough to think that everyone shares my belief. I am OK with that, but we as a nation are in trouble.
As a city we are concerned about finances, services and the curse of COVID.
COVID-19 shot or not, my opinion is worth what you paid for it. I took the shot early on, but I don’t have a problem if my friends or anyone else takes it. It’s a personal choice.
As far as the city having a forensic audit, if I was to take over a city that was in debt, I would like to have a real understanding as to why and how we got there. Cost is irrelevant, like getting a grant and paying the city’s part from monies we don’t have. I applaud the mayor for his transparency in his administration. He can’t solve all the problems; we as citizens can help. He cannot help what an apartment manager does. I appreciate his interest and concern, but the mayor has more important problems to address. Let’s give him a break.
I try to be an optimist about life, but with all that is going on it’s my faith that keeps me going. As the saying goes, I’ve read the end of the book (The Bible).
God Bless America.
