Deborah Smith’s recent letter to the editor addressed the hesitancy to get the COVID-19 vaccine.
Most of the people who are refusing the vaccine are Republicans.
At the recent CPAC (Conservative Political Action Conference) in Dallas, with Trump being the main speaker, attendees celebrated the failure of Biden’s goal to vaccinate 70 percent of adults by the Fourth of July.
Cheering and clapping for the death of Americans by Americans in America? Most definitely un-American. Brings back memories of Hillary’s basket of deplorables, doesn’t it?
And at the beginning of the pandemic, president Trump said it was a hoax and the Republicans most listened to news network, FOX, agreed with him.
For a re-run of FOX’s thoughts on the coronavirus, google: Today, we salute the heroes of the Coronavirus Pandumbic.
And a lot of hesitancy is from the desire to not give Biden and the Democrats any credit for controlling the virus.
At one point, the Republicans were praising Trump and his warpspeed discovery of a vaccine to prevent the virus. Now, with Biden the president, don’t take it, it’s poison.
The truth: If you’re vaccinated, you’re safe. If you’re not vaccinated, you’re in trouble.
On top of all this, we can be thankful that the truth will win.
