First of all, thank you Columbus for your support during my Ward 4 city council campaign. I am a winner because of the vast scope of knowledge I gained in the political arena. Knowledge is powerful. As we embark upon a new Columbus with new leadership, let’s pray our leaders will seek God in every situation, event and decision which makes policy and appoints people to positions of vacancy. Pray for new mindsets and stop living in yesterday and know its a new day. Pray for inclusion of professionals in mutual health, parents that have experienced senseless death of a child and ex-offenders that are living to be an asset instead of a liability to society. Some may not have degrees but experience has taught them valuable lessons.
To the lawyers, judges, police, firemen/firewomen, etc: Leave work at work and seek mental health counselors after work, if needed. Stop fooling yourselves. Stress is a killer! Your mind, organs, limbs and arteries are affected by stress. Your sound judgment is needed to function.
Love God, love yourself and love others!
I will come and go, but the Holy Spirit knows all things. Let’s not grieve the Holy Spirit.
Thank God for a new day, a new way of doing things in our beloved city.
Thank God we are all American.
Pat Fisher Douglas, Columbus
