I moved down here to Mississippi 13 years ago, and I have marveled nearly every day at the beauty of this country! The trees, flowers, creeks, moss, butterflies, you name it! But then, alas, humans’ mark on the land has made me sad: trash. Litter! God made this beautiful land! He must be sad as humans throw a McDonald’s bag out the window or throw a can out the window. But I want to tell you some good news: It can change! I know of another country with the same litter problem, and in 10 years they had their country completely cleaned up and super tidy. They taught the children at school to not litter and took the trash cans away, taught them to take their garbage home with them and properly dispose of it. Easy solution. Let’s teach our children to respect the land God gave us by example!
