When I look at Dr. Keith Gaskin I see a man of tremendous professionalism and reserve. When given countless opportunities to pounce upon his competition, Gaskin has consistently taken the high road. Columbus needs that. We’ve got issues. Let’s focus and fix them.
Gaskin has consistently called for transparency of government. He would not be compelled to write “cease and desist” letters to The Dispatch for doing its job. Instead, I feel he would bring the city’s challenges into light and have public discussions on how to solve them.
As a fresh face, Gaskin brings no baggage to the table. He has not purloined campaign funds from entities holding big municipal contracts. He has hired no embezzlers. He has no calls for forensic auditing. His voice will be a new one, and his message will be clear — it’s time to get our house in order!
Gaskin has taken a sincere interest in Columbus’s rich and diverse history. He is particularly in tune with the aspirations of the African American community. He is engaged and motivated. He will be the people’s mayor, and I’m proud to support him.
I offer this endorsement without any solicitation to do so.
