Concerned about pipeline jobs lost and other executive orders
I write this as the action has put a heavy burden on my heart:
One stroke of a pen and 10,000 pipeline workers lose their job. How many American families, spouses and children’s lives are instantly thrown into chaos? Where will the money come from to feed, harbor and clothe them? How many area businesses will lose out, slashing shoppers’ and regular customers’ ability to purchase anything? How many tax dollars will be lost to the area to keep up the local expenses of running schools, police and fire departments, first responders and hospitals, and roads just to name a few? Will people be leaving the state in search of jobs where they can support their families?
On page 2147, the Life Application Study Bible gives us lessons from Pilate’s life. “Great evil can happen when truth is at the mercy of political pressures. … Resisting the truth leaves a person without a purpose or direction.” Just as Pilate was under pressure, so it appears that Biden is also under political pressure without direction. History does indeed repeat itself.
As a Christian first and also a Great Opportunity Party-Republican, I can only trust in the Lord and pray daily for an end to such madness. I encourage you all to do the same. This was only one of over 40 strokes of the pen that have happened; how many more are to come?
