Comments on recent opinion pieces
In respinse to a recent column by Wyatt Emmerich, in which he states Biden, through his son, was gorging at the trough, federal authorities are investigating the business dealings of Hunter Biden.
His father, President elect Joe Biden is not implicated. Joe Biden says he has not taken one penny from a foreign country.
Unless he is a liar like Trump, your statement is false.
In Lee Roy Lollar’s January 11 letter to the editor, he states: “This is the first Trump rally where a large number of black helmet, knee and elbow clad people were there. This is the dress Antifa and BLM protesters.”
Far-right group Proud Boys said they will attend the January 6 D.C. rally “incognito” and wear all-black to blend in with Antifa protesters.
It’s easy to figure out why. The rumor spread quickly, by Trump and his supporters, that Antifa stormed the Capitol.
There’s no proof that Antifa or BLM was involved at all.
In Pat Buchanan’s column asserting the Capitol riot is being exploited to attack Trump, he states, “Donald Trump has stumbled and fallen, and the establishment is not going to let slip this last opportunity to stomp him and his movement to death.”
Long live the establishment. I presume he has Democrats in mind, but change it to America, and include Republicans too, because a lot of them are jumping off of Trump’s ship.
There will be more to follow, because they will too, like the ones before them, learn when you pledge your loyalty to Trump, you lose.
When this happens, it will be another wonderful day for America.
And if he is impeached a second time and a conviction, he may not be able to run for office again. That would be the third wonderful day for America.
Where are our religious leaders who think Trump is a great president? Haven’t heard one peep out of them.
Maybe this is why. Mark Galli, the retired CEO of Christianity Today, said in 2019, that Trump, because of his immorality, should be removed from office, for which our religious leaders today condemned him for it.
Mr. Galli also said that none of the President’s positives can balance the moral and political dangers we face under a leader of such grossly immoral character.
He proved them wrong, didn’t he?
