AMORY — Willie Lucille Morgan, 92, died March 18, 2010, at Gilmore Memorial Regional Medical Center. Services are today at 1:30 p.m. at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home Chapel in Amory with the Revs. Warren Coile and Steven Keen officiating. Burial will follow in New Salem Cemetery. Ms. Morgan was born Oct. 10, 1917, in Quincy Community to the late Willie Lee and Allie Swan Shuford. She was a graduate of Burroughs Business College. Before her retirement, she worked as an audit manager for the Sears & Roebuck, Co. She was a member of First United Methodist Church where she was in the Friendship Sunday School class, and involved with U.M.W. She was a member of AARP. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leemon McClure Morgan; brothers, Hersel, Grady and Charlie Shuford. She is survived by her daughters, Nancy Morgan Reed of Amory, and Kaye Morgan Reeves of Atlanta; seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Pallbearers are Butch, Tyler and Michael Reed, Curry and Steve Hammond, Mark Reeves, Joe Hal Morgan, and Rick Sims. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 147, Amory MS 38821.
