MACON — Willie McNeese, 90, died March 31, 2019, at his residence. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hopewell M.B. Church in Brooksville with Joe Stallings officiating. Burial will follow at Mayhan Cemetery. Visitation is Friday from noon-5 p.m. at Lee-Sykes Funeral Home of Macon. Lee-Sykes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. McNeese was born Aug. 27, 1928, in Noxubee County, to the late Charles McNeese and Irene Simmons. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Shirley Ruth McNeese Ramsey; and brothers, Robert and Little Nelos King. He is survived by his wife, Mamie Dent McNeese; daughters, Jean Wilborn, Lorene Lockett, Mary Alice Lockett, Katherine Mickens of Macon and Paulene McNeese of Washington, D.C.; son, Eddie Earl McNeese of Macon; sister, Gertrude Shephard of St. Louis; 14 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Antonio Lockett, Christopher Michael Locket II, Malachi Wilborn, Altouise McNeese, Roderick McNeese and Robert Parks III.
