PETERSBURG, Va. — Willie Roger Jackson, 60, died Aug. 25, 2012, in Petersburg. Services are Saturday at 1 p.m. at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church in Petersburg with the Rev. Dr. Wesley K. McLaughlin officiating. Burial will follow in Dinwiddie Memorial Park in Petersburg. J.M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment, Inc., is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Jackson was born April 8, 1952, in Prairie Point to the late Jimmie Lee Jackson and Emma Lee Jones Jackson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Johnnie B. Jackson, Henry Nick Jackson, Shirley Ann Jackson, Addie Staples and Linda Stewart. Survivors include his wife, Paulette Jackson of Petersburg; son, Duwayne Jackson of Atlanta; daughters, Chanta Hayes-Williams, Katrina Hayes-Warren and Tracy Jackson, all of Petersburg; sister, Emma of Huntington, N.Y.; brothers, Jimmy Jackson, Robert Jackson, Billy Jackson and Edward Jackson, all of Columbus, Bobby Jackson of Jackson, Fla., and Tommy Jackson of Huntington, N.Y.; and nine grandchildren.
