ABERDEEN — William Edd Hawkins, 71, died Jan. 31, 2010, at his residence. A memorial service is Thursday at 2 p. m. at Tisdale-Lann Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Roy McHenry officiating. Visitation is Thursday from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Hawkins was born May 22, 1938, to Jack Hawkins and Faye Grant Hawkins in Monroe County. He was a lifelong resident of Monroe County and was a member of First Baptist Church of Aberdeen. He was a retired truck driver for White Oil Co. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Nancy Hawkins. He is survived by his wife, Dollie Darlene Tullos Hawkins, of Aberdeen; sons, Michael Scott Hawkins, of Aberdeen, and Kevin Dean Hawkins, of Louisville, Ky.; brother, Grant Hawkins, of Aberdeen, and four grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Riverbend Baptist Church Memorial Fund.
