MACON- William “Billy” Dantzler, 69, died Jan. 30, 2021, at his residence. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, at New Hope UM Church, with Kori Bridges officiating. Visitation is from 1-4 p.m. today, at Lee-Sykes Funeral Chapel. Lee-Sykes Funeral Services of Macon is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Dantzler was born June 29, 1951, in Noxubee County, to Marjorie Dantzler and the late William Dantzler, Sr. He was a graduate of B.F. Liddell “Eagles” High School and attended Mott Community College. He was formerly employed as a plant manager with Halo Burger and with Chevrolet Metal Fab division of General Motor Corporation. He was a member of New Hope UM Church. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Earnest L. Dantzler. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his children, Tammie Dantzler, Yolanda Collins and Billie Marie Dantzler all of Flint, Michigan; siblings, Calvin Dantzler of St. Louis, Missouri, Anthony Dantzler of Pearl, Joyce Young of Memphis, Tennessee, Sadie Campbell of Kalamazoo, Michigan and Brenda Gibbs of Hampton, Virginia; and six grandchildren.
