WEST POINT — Wallace Walker, 72, died April 25, 2021, in Tupelo.
Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, at Pool’s Memorial Gardens, with the Rev. George R. Taylor officiating. Visitation will be from 3-3:30 p.m. prior to services at the cemetery. Carter’s Mortuary Services of West Point is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Walker was born May 8, 1948, in Clay County, to the late Guy Thomas Walker and Lucy Mary Brown. He was formerly employed as a truck driver.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Thomas Walker and Mazie Walker.
He is survived by his wife, Virgie Gathings-Walker; children, Wallace Walker Jr., Tony Lashawn Walker, Eric Lenoir, Lucretia Orr and CeCelia Smith; siblings, Delois Conway and Sara McMillian; 17 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
