Sylvia Christine “Teena” White Wallace Caledonia, Mississippi – Sylvia Christine “Teena” White Wallace, 52, passed away, Thursday, March 18, 2010 at her home, in Caledonia. Sylvia Christine White Wallace was born November 13, 1957 in West Point, Mississippi to the late Mary Christine Gregory White and Donald Herman White. She was a Professor of English at M.U.W., Mississippi State and the University of Mississippi. Mrs. Wallace was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Columbus. Sylvia Christine White Wallace married Steven Carl Wallace, Sr. on October 4, 1992, in Columbus. She loved life, was a devoted Christian and devoted to her family and friends. Teena was lifelong learner and educator. She was a graduate of West Point High School in 1975, and a graduate of M.U.W. with a degree in English in 1979, she received her Masters degree in English from Mississippi State University 1987, and her Phd. in English from the University of Mississippi in 2000. Presently she was working on a Masters’ degree in History at Mississippi State University. Funeral services will be Monday, March 22, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Paul’s Episocopal Church at 318 College Street in Columbus with the The Very Reverend James F. Carlyle officiating. The body will lie at the church from 10:00 a.m until service time at the church. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in West Point. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include husband, Steven C. Wallace of Caledonia; two daughters, Christine Andrea White of West Point, Clara Bailey Wallace of Caledonia; three sons, Bill Sugg, III, Gregory White Sugg both of West Point, Colt Wallace of Caledonia; one sister, Andrea White of Knoxville, TN; one brother, Donald Gregory White (Mary) of Gainesville, VA. her niece and nephews, Nicole Randall, Jack Randall, Benjamin White, and Stephen White; Pallbearers will be John Andrew Gregory, Jack Gregory, Judge James T. Kitchens, Jr., Danny Sprouse, Sid Caradine, Colt Wallace, and E. J. Gregory. Memorials may be made to the Christine G. White Mathematics Scholarship Award, Attn: Mrs. Linda Farr, P. O.
