CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Tanya Denice Searcy Garris, 51, died Feb. 17, 2019, at her residence. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. March 9, 2019, at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Columbus with the Rev Anne Marie Harris officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services in the Earlene Robertson Room. Celebration of Life services will be held March 2, 2019, in Marietta, Georgia and in Mangham, Louisiana at the Searcy Family Reunion. Mrs. Garris was born Sept. 18, 1967. She was a graduate of Caldwell High School and Mississippi University for Women. She was formerly employed as a health care office administrator and a member of Elevation Church-Ballantyne in Charlotte, North Carolina. She is survived by her husband, John Patrick Garris; son, Grant; mother, Rose Crowe; stepfather, Doug Crowe; father, Elwyn Searcy; stepmother, Cindy Searcy; and sister, Teresa Searcy of Atlanta.
