STEENS — Tammy Joyce Carpenter, 60, died June 21, 2022, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, at Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral Home and Crematory of Columbus is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Carpenter was born Jan. 8, 1962, in Calhoun City, to Nancy Collums Hatton and the late Willie Clyde Lucius. She attended Lee High School and was formerly employed as a store manager at several convenience stores.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roxey Carpenter.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her daughter, Shannon K. Penberthy of Eutaw, Alabama; brothers, Jeff Lucios of Columbus and Michael Lucius of Alabama; sister, Donna Ellis of Steens; and three grandchildren.
