Sylvester Marks III

COLUMBUS — Sylvester Joe Marks III, 59, passed away.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, at Columbus High School. Visitation is from 1-6 p.m. today, at Lee-Sykes Funeral Home Chapel. Lee-Sykes Funeral Home of Columbus is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Marks was born April 29, 1963, to the late Theresa and Sylvester J. Marks Jr. He was a 1982 graduate of West Orange Stark High School and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was also a semi-pro football player for the U.S. Air Force.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Harold Geter; and sister, Yolanda Marks.
He is survived by his wife, Sabrina; children, Ericka Turner Jr., Marquitta Brooks, Catrice Hairston, Pilar Blanco, Quentin Hairston, Jonathan Leigh Marks, and Jeremey Marks.
