COLUMBUS — William Stephen “Steve” Spencer, 65, died Nov. 22, 2017, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle. A Mass of Resurrection will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Annunciation Catholic Church with Jeffrey Waldrep officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church atrium. Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral Home, 2nd Avenue location is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Spencer was born May 8, 1952, to the late Ed M. and Eloise Williams Spencer. He was a graduate of Stephen D. Lee High School and a member of Annunciation Catholic Church. He was previously employed with Golden Triangle Railroad, Weyerhaeuser and CF Rail Systems. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mariette Spencer Morrison. He is survived by his wife, Rosalie Wolcott Spencer; daughters, Laura Harmon and Kate Spencer; brother, Ed Spencer of Jackson; and three grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Larry Davis, Kenny Crenshaw, Davis Baker, Patrick Spencer, John Spencer and Will Spencer.
