COLUMBUS — Shirley M. Legrone Latham, 75, died Feb. 12, 2019, at her residence. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Zion Gate M.B. Church with Dr. James A. Boyd officiating. Burial will follow at Strawbridge Cemetery. Visitation is from noon-6 p.m. Friday at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Latham was born Aug. 28, 1943, in Columbus, to the late Luke Legrone and Willie Lee Legrone. She was formerly employed with Johnston Tombigbee Furniture and as a cashier and cook with Brown’s Quik Stop. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Latham. She is survived by her children, Lisa Jones and Scottie Latham, both of Columbus, Gery Legrone of Ethelsville, Alabama and Keon Latham of Tuscaloosa; siblings, Donald Legrone of Flint, Michigan, Preston Legrone of Kansas City, Missouri, Maggie Molton of Tuscaloosa, Rosland Guyton of Ethelsville and Valerie Weaver of Columbus; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be McArthur Bradley Jr., Shun Walker, Willie Legrone, James Legrone, Scottie Latham and Keon Latham.
