ABERDEEN — Sharon Anne Ambrose Patterson, 67, died March 11, 2019, at Trinity Healthcare Center in Columbus. Services are 1 p.m. Wednesday at Aberdeen First Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Graham Memorial Cemetery in Reform, Alabama. Visitation is Wednesday from 11 a.m. until service time at the church. Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral Home and Crematory, Second Avenue North location, is entrusted with arrangements. Ms. Patterson was born May 28, 1951, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, to the late William Thomas and Ellie Dee Jackson Ambrose. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Aberdeen. She was a 1969 graduated of Pickens County High School, received her bachelor’s in marine biology from the University of Alabama and furthered her education at the Institute of Ultrasound Diagnostics in Mobile, Alabama. She was formerly employed at Physicians and Surgeons Clinic and Gilmore Memorial Hospital and as a registered diagnostic medical sonographer and a registered vascular technologist at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She is survived by daughters, Cori Long of Amory, Kylie Patterson of Starkville, Vera Crawley of Starkville, Jordon Pumphrey of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Valerie Weivoda of Tupelo; son, Joshua Patterson of Catasauqua, Pennsylvania; sister, Gail Strickland of Huntsville, Alabama; brothers, Barry Ambrose of Reform, Alabama, Billy Ambrose of Fairhope, Alabama, and Rodney Ambrose of Huntsville; nine grandchildren: Serving as pallbearers will be Barry Ambrose, Billy Ambrose, Rodney Ambrose, Dr.Joe Strickland, Dr. Scott Strickland and Matthew Strickland.
