HAGERSTOWN, Md. — Samson Edmond III, 28, died Sept. 16, 2012. Services are Sunday at 2 p.m. at the West Lowndes High School Gymnasium with Glenn Jefferson officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Saturday from 3-8 p.m. at Carter’s of Columbus. Mr. Edmond was born September 28, 1983, to Samson Edmond and Dorothy Jean Peterson Edmond. He was employed as a public relations specialist at Naval System Command. He was a 2002 graduate of West Lowndes High School and a graduate of Mississippi State University. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in the Iraq War and was a recipient of the purple heart. In addition to his parents, survivors include his fiancé, Kimberly Brearden; siblings, Amber Bobbett of Starkville, Victoria and Victor Edmond of Columbus, and Donvonta Harris of Norfork, Va. Pallbearers will be his fellow members of Evening Star Lodge #10.
