COLUMBUS — Sammy Lee Davis, 63, died April 19, 2021, at his residence.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, at Sandfield Cemetery, with the Rev. Willie J. Caldwell officiating. Visitation is from 1-5 p.m. today, at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral services of Columbus is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Davis was born Oct. 1, 1957, in West Point, to Irene Davis and the late Sammy Earl Davis. He was formerly employed as owner of Clear Vision Glass Company.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his children, Diamond Young, Jacob Davis, Delinda Young, Tyquan Davis, all of Columbus, Lavar Davis of Nashville, Tennessee and Rachel Westmoreland of Bruce; siblings, Rev. Tommy Davis of Columbus, Rosina Young of West Point, Raymond Parker Jr. of Gulfport, Michael Parker, Shirley Bell, both of Houston, Texas, Cassandra Davis of Berrien Springs, Michigan, Charlotte Davis, Leotis Parker, Cynthia Moore, Mary Davis, all of New Orleans, Louisiana and Samantha Davis of Trinidad Spain; and eight grandchildren.
