AMORY — Martha Ruth McDaniel Culver Goodwin Miller, 83, died Dec. 31, 2009, at Gilmore Memorial Regional Medical Center in Amory. Services were Saturday at the E.E. Pickle Funeral Home Chapel in Amory with Bros. Ricky Jones and Mac Phillips officiating. Burial was in the Durrett Cemetery. Mrs. Miller was a lifelong resident of Monroe County after being born Nov. 1, 1926, to the late I.W. and Mary Bell Edwards McDaniel. She worked in the garment plant in Smithville and was retired from Amory Manor Nursing Home. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Emmitt Culver, whom she married in 1942; John Goodwin, whom she married in 1970, and William Miller, whom she married in 1990; one son, Billy Culver; one daughter, Kay Gillentine; two brothers, Caleb and James McDaniel, and two sisters, Rachel Green and Eula Cockrell. Survivors include one son, Larry (Dean) Culver, of Amory; one daughter, Annis (John) Curtis, of Ecru; 10 grandchildren, Sammy Green, Terry Grean, Amy Hughes, Adam Gillentime, Robin Culver, Rusty Culver, Cindy Culver, Joey Culver, Josh Culver and Benji Culver; seven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Sammy Green, Terry Green, Kirk Green, Rusty Culver, Adam, Culver, Adam Gillentine and Mitchell Hughes.
