COLUMBUS — Rosetta Bluitt, 65, died Jan. 20, 2019, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at 15th Street Church of God in Christ with the Rev. Tommie L. Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation is from 3-8 p.m. Friday at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Bluitt was born Nov. 11, 1953, in Columbus, to the late Tom and Fannie Marshall. She was a 1972 graduate of S.D. Lee High School and a graduate of Mississippi University for Women. She was a Special Education teacher with Columbus Municipal School District and a member of Bibleway Progressive Church of God in Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Patricia A. Koonce and Joe White. She is survived by her husband, William Bluitt of Columbus; children, Natasha Morris, Nataya Smith and Tanaya Bluitt, all of Columbus; siblings, Rose Marshall of St. Louis, Missouri, Barbara Talley, Mary Louise Marshall and Annette Marshall, all of Columbus, Tommy Marshall of Fayetteville, North Carolina and Susan Stewart of Atlanta, Georgia; and four grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Shawn Tate, Amos Jones, Melvin Brooks, Eddie Wells, Larry Jones, Kendrick Stewart, Drew Craddieth and Kourie Johnson.
