ABERDEEN — Roosevelt Jones, 77, died April 16, 2009, at his residence. Services are Saturday at 1 p.m. at Greater Ebernezer MB Church with Pastor Kelvin Brownlee officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation is today from 11 a.m.-6 p.m., and the body will be at the church Saturday one hour prior to services. Westbrooks Funeral Home of Aberdeen is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Jones retired from Bryan Brothers after 26 years of service. He was a member of Ebernezer MB Church. He is survived by his wife, Mary Jones; sons, Roosevelt Jones Jr. of Okolona, Odell Jones of Fort Riley, Kan., and Willie Joe, Richard and Michael Jones, all of Aberdeen; daughters, Flora Blanchard of Birmingham, Ala., Bobbie Moore of Prairie, and Rosetta Pulliam, Mary Townsend, Lillie Jones, Hattie Middlebrook, Alice Ewing and Cotina Jones, all of Aberdeen; brothers, Cleveland Jones of West Point and Joe Louis Jones of Aberdeen; sisters, Christine Franklin, Vampdell Quinn, Bessie Evans and Dorothy Jones, all of Aberdeen; 34 grandchildren and 48 great-grandchildren.
