ABERDEEN — Robin Sherman Valsamakis, 66, died June 24, 2019, at Baptist Memorial East in Memphis, Tennessee. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Aberdeen, with the Rev. Mary Hutson officiating. Burial will follow at Oddfellows Rest Cemetery. Visitation is from 5-7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home of Aberdeen is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Valsamakis was born March 6, 1953, in Jackson, to Jack J. Sherman and the late Amy Jeanelle Sherman. She was formerly employed as a med tech for Dr. Arthur Brown and attended the Methodist Church. In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband, Nick Valsamakis of Aberdeen; daughters, Elaina Baggett of Aberdeen and Alexis Hood of Madison, Alabama; sisters, Shannon Robertson of New Orleans, Louisiana and Leigh Kudym of Lake Havasu, Arizona; brother, Jack Sherman Jr. of Nashville, Tennessee; and three grandchildren. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
