HATLEY — Robert Hurston Nash, 71, died Oct. 16, 2018, at the Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. Services will be at 2 p.m. on Friday at Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home with David Highland officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Hatley Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 .m. Friday at the funeral home. Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Nash was born April 15, 1947, in Monroe County, to the late John Hurston and Mavis Pearl Roebuck Nash. He attended Hatley School and Itawamba Junior College. He was a U.S. Army veteran and served in Germany during the Vietnam War. He was formerly employed as a teacher and a logger. He was a member of New Hope Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Charles Tate. He is survived by his wife, Sara Nash of Hatley; son, Bubba Moore of Grenada; daughters, Carla, Robin, Melanie and Cindy Blount; sisters, Judy Nash Wells of Hatley and Carolyn Farmer of Southaven; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jim Cook, Billy Wayne Harlow, Harold West, Lowell Dulaney, Jeff Capps and James Maxey.
