A memorial service and celebration of the life of Robert Henry Cooper, Jr., will be held at First Presbyterian Church, Corinth, MS, on Sunday, September 9, 2012. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. with the memorial service following at 2:00 p.m. Reverend Donald Elliot will officiate. Mr. Cooper died Friday, September 7, 2012, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born December 3, 1951, in Tuscaloosa, AL where he attended the University of Alabama. He was a Professional Land Surveyor by trade and upon moving to Corinth in 1995, he worked at Scott Engineering Company until his retirement in 2011. Rob loved his family and friends, his church and Alabama Football. Rob attended and served as an Elder at First Presbyterian Church and was of the Christian Faith. Rob was preceded in death by his his parents, Robert and Cleo Cooper; and brother, Tim Cooper. Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Susanne Cooper; son, Robert Thomas (Beau) Cooper; daughter-in-law, Sarah Cooper; grandson, Robert Deegan Cooper; and brother, Mickey Cooper of Seattle, WA. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to First Presbyterian Church World Mission Fund, 919 East Shiloh Road, Corinth, MS 38834.
