CALEDONIA – R.J. Johnson, 74, died Dec. 27, 2020, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, at Carter’s Funeral Services, with David O. Williams officiating. Visitation will be two hours prior to services at the funeral home. Carter’s Funeral Services of Columbus is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Johnson was born Nov. 25. 1946, in Columbus, to the late Ofie Williams and Argusta Williams. He was formerly employed as a mechanic with Phillips Contracting. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Alice M. Johnson; and sibling, Ofie Lee Williams. He is survived by his children, Dena Steverson of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, Ronald J. Johnson of Steens and Dino Johnson of Saint Ansgar, Iowa; siblings, Sarah Ann Williams, Willie Mae Henry, Betty Ann Blair all of Columbus, Bessie Pear Williams of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Mattie Mae Williams of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Vera Tate of South Carolina, Sylveter Williams of Columbus and Clarence Williams of Vernon, Alabama; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
