Phayree Hunt

STARKVILLE — Phayree Fulgham Hunt, 79, died April 17, 2009, at her residence. Services are Monday at 2 p.m. at Welch Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Clifton Curtis officiating. Burial will follow at the Center Grove Cemetery. Visitation is today from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Hunt was a member of First Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Maben High School and Draughon’s Business College. She was an employee of Peoples Savings Bank and later at West Brothers Department Store. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eldon Duain Hunt; sister, Annie Ruth F. Turner; brother, D. Howard Fulgham; and an infant brother. She is survived by her son, Jim Sherman, of Starkville; daughters, Dianne and Allene H. Howell and Mary H. Carmicheal, all of Starkville; sister, Linda F. Hammack of Richmond, Texas; and five grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Center Grove Baptist Church or First Baptist Church.
