ALICEVILLE, Ala. — Ollie Mae Bain, 91, died June 12, 2009, at Aliceville Manor Nursing Home. Services are Monday at 11 a.m. at Springhill Baptist Church in Carrollton, Ala., with the Revs. Tommy Smothers and Bert Noland officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Mrs. Bain was born Dec. 7, 1917, in Madison County, Ala., to the late Houston Godwin and Kate Caston Godwin. She was a member of Springhill Baptist Church, a homemaker and a resident of Pickens County, Ala. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Aus Hinds Bain. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Wicker, of Northport, Ala.; son, Joe Bain, of Carrolton, Ala.; sister, Hazel Rutledge, of Mobile, Ala.; brothers, A.G. Godwin, of Columbus, and Lenford Godwin, of Albertville, Ala.; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be John Stathapoulos, Roy Bain, Adam Wicker, Howard Cornelus, Nelson Godwin and Orval Godwin.
