WEST POINT — Ola Mae Calvert, 88, died Sept. 28, 2022, at North Mississippi Medical Center-Eupora.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, at Lower Prairie Creek M.B. Church in Pheba, with Charles Davidson officiating. Burial will follow at Dixie Community Cemetery in Woodland. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Carter’s Mortuary Services of West Point is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Calvert was born Sept. 12, 1934, in Clay County, to the late Walter Watkins Sr. and Beatrice Gastor Watkins. She was formerly employed as a custodian.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughters, Patricia Crowley and Denise Doss.
She is survived by her son, Ellis Calvert; daughters, Annie J. Jackson and Brenda Summers; brothers, Walter Watkins Jr., Paul Watkins, Willie Watkins, Clyde Hilms, Robert Shepherd and R.H. Watkins; sisters, Rose Logan, Lillie Cross, Callie Davidson, Minnie P. Moon, Dorothy Watkins and Meri Tolbert; 12 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
