CEDAR BLUFF – David Howell Pugh, 86, died Feb. 25, 2021, at his residence. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. today, at Christ United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Jeff Shannon officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens of West Point. Visitation is one hour prior to services at the church. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Pugh was born Jan. 18, 1935, in Beaverton, Alabama, to the late Maude Akers and Elmer Pugh. He was a graduate of West Point High School and was a veteran of the National Guard. He was formerly employed as a truck driver with Bryan Foods. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nelda Ivy Pugh; and siblings, Herman Pugh and Johnnie Mae Hall. He is survived by his children, Gina Whitt, and Kevon Pugh, both of Cedar Bluff and James David Pugh of Marietta, Georgia; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
