OBITUARY

John Hollis

ARLINGTON, Tenn. — John Paul “Red” Hollis, died Feb. 17, 2021, at Methodist North Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, at Chandler Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Furnace Hill Cemetery. Chandler Funeral Home of Vernon, Alabama is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Hollis was born May 13, 1934, in Lamar County, Alabama, to the late Forney Lewis and Annie Grace Graham Hollis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, James Lewis Hollis, Doris Ann Taylor and Lou Ella Knight. He is survived by his wife, Stella Hollis; daughter, Kay Petersen; and siblings, Mary Bennett of Sulligent, Alabama and Clara Piel of Odessa, Texas.
