VERNON, Ala. — Reabon Walker, 67, died Feb. 13, 2021, at his residence. Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Saturday, at Otts Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed at Furnace Hill Cemetery with military honors. Visitation was one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Otts Funeral Home of Sulligent, Alabama was in charge of arrangements. Mr. Walker was born July 13, 1953, in Sulligent, to the late Stella Mae Walker and Glenn Walker. He was a veteran of the Army National Guard and the United States Navy. He was formerly employed as the owner of the first black owned store in Vernon selling pool tables and pinball games, owner of two other stores and selling real estate. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Saderia Means Walker and Rex Leroy Walker. He is survived by his wife, Marie Walker; children, Twila Lipscomb of Chesapeake, Virginia, Tawni Walker Cooper of Norfolk, Virginia, Bjanka Myles of Sulligent and Pamela Ivy of Indianapolis, Indiana; step-children, Tara Hampton and Tracy McClelan both of Vernon; and 13 grandchildren.
