David Artz

David Wallace Artz, age 71, of Columbus, MS, passed away January 7, 2021, at Windsor Place. Graveside services will be Saturday, January 16, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Friendship Cemetery, with Rev. Jimmy Criddle officiating. Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral Home & Crematory, 716 2nd Ave. North location, is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Artz was born October 15, 1949, in Columbus, MS, to the late Jefferson Glyn and Virginia White Artz. He was a graduate of Lee High School and the University of Central Florida. Mr. Artz retired from the United States Air Force and was a veteran of Vietnam. He enjoyed volunteering for the Salvation Army and was a member of First United Methodist Church. Survivors include his son, Barry Artz and his wife, Sarah Beth, of Columbus, MS; and grandchildren, Caleb Artz and his wife, Rachel, of Ft. Wayne, IN, Chloe Artz and Lola Artz, both of Columbus, MS.
