Betty Jo Coggins Fitzgerald, 76, died Nov. 18, 2020, at North Mississippi Medical Center of West Point. Graveside services were held Saturday, in Cairo Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery, with Bob Edwards officiating. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point was in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Fitzgerald was born Aug. 20, 1944, in West Point, to the late Ruby Parrish and J.G. Coggins. She was formerly employed as a manager with Hancock Fabrics and was a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Cecil Fitzgerald; siblings, Inez Coggins Bock, Bessie Coggins Huelett, Mildred Coggins Bowman, James “Pete” Coggins, Horace Coggins, J.G. “Buddy” Coggins, Jr., Woodrow Coggins and William Sonny Coggins; and one great-grandchild. She is survived by her children William David Fitzgerald and Robert Allen Fitzgerald both of West Point; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Dale Harris, Scott Hardin, Jimmy Edwards, Timmy Turner, John Edwards and Eddie Scott. Memorials may be made to Cairo Cumberland Cemetery Fund c/o Judy Chrismond, 23225 Hwy 50 W.
