WEST POINT — Ann Hurst Cummings, 77, died Oct. 16, 2020, at North Mississippi Medical Center of Tupelo. Graveside funeral services are at 2:30 p.m. today, in Greenwood Cemetery of West Point, with the Rev. Chris Craven officiating. Visitation is from 2-2:30 p.m. prior to services at the cemetery. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Cummings was born Dec. 6, 1942, in Minter City, to the late Lena Wilhite and Grover C. Hurst. She was formerly employed as a restaurant owner and manager. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Cummings; an infant daughter, Lisa Gail Cummings; and brother, Brad Hurst. She is survived by her children, James Michael “Mike” Cummings of Birmingham, Alabama and John Anthony Cummings of West Point; adopted daughter, Franzika Zimmerman; siblings, Kay Nordyke of Cleveland, Tennessee, Mary Hurst of West Point, Joe Hust of West Point and Charles Hurst of Mullens, South Carolina; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Aaron Cummings, Bradley Cummings, Jake Mathis, John Cummings, Chris Davis, Josh Myers, James Saylors and Cody Boyles. Memorials may be made to Palmer Home for Children, P.O.
