WEST POINT ó Jerome William Blake, 69, died Aug. 31, 2020, in Oktibbeha County. Graveside services are at 11 a.m. today, in Snow Family Cemetery of Okolona, with the Rev. Amos Branson officiating. Carterís Mortuary Services of West Point is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Blake was born June 27, 1951, in West Point, to the late Pierce Williams Jr. and Dorothy Pearl Blake. He was a veteran of the Army and was formerly employed with as a TVA electrician supervisor. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Shadrack Rashad Binder; and siblings, Frederick Blake, Pierce Williams III, Carolyn Denise Williams and Jeanette Walker Lewis. He is survived by his wife, Gwendolyn Snow Blake; children, Jason Jermaine Brown, Angel Jemece Blake and Chelsea Jillian Marion; siblings, Wendell Blake, Tyree Gibson, Willie Al Gibson, Bruce Gibson, Lawrence Williams, Wren Williams, Jeremy Goins, Theresa Williams Chandler and Delisa Blake; and five grandchildren.
