NOXUBEE COUNTY — Essie Lee Brewer, 82, died Aug. 12, 2020, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle. A private family only graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, in Spring Hill MBC Cemetery of Macon, with Randy Brewer officiating. Visitation is from 2-5 p.m. today, at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services of Macon is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Brewer was born June 9, 1938, in Noxubee County, to the late Lovely Brewer and Mamie Brewer. He was formerly employed and a truck driver with CO-OP and was a member of Greater Mount Zion MBC. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Pearl Thomas Brewer; and siblings, Walter Brewer and Anna B. Clark. He is survived by his children, Shirley Skinner, Earlean Washington, Colleen Roby, Victoria Allen, Bessie Brewer, Mamie Brewer, Minnie Brewer, Anthony Brewer, Berry Brewer and Essie Brewer Jr. all of Macon, Lisa Sterling, Darry Brewer both of Columbus, Hattie Harris of Clarksdale and Robert Brewer of Arkansas; siblings, Sarge Brewer, Warren Earl Brewer both of Macon, Lovelle Brewer of Alabama, L.C. Brewer of Memphis, Tennessee, Mary B. Skinner, Clement Tate, Lorrianna Beamon all of Chicago, Illinois and Leroa McCoy of Macon; 42 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; and 20 great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Dean Brewer, Markeys Brewer, Titus Brewer, O.J. Brewer, Anthony Brewer and Perze Brewer.
